Abstract

This article proposes some issues to rethink the disciplinary edges of theater and visual arts, offering an experience that brings together both disciplines sharing their strengths and potencies. This opening to visual arts as an essential language in dramatic creation or vice versa, is based on the transdisciplinary dialogue of thought and creation between Evelyn Biecher, theater director, playwright and actress of the Société Pitouch Company in Strasbourg, France (2008) and Jaidy Díaz, Colombian visual artist, director of the research and artistic creation group Pensar Sonido (2009). We propose a methodology of creation from a threshold between the theater and the visual arts, which works as an expanded field where it is possible to recognize languages separated from their duty to be disciplinary, artistic, activating in different ways the languages, their tradition and forms of use.
